- In their everyday life, Jess is an Outsource Accountant, (meaning she does bookkeeping and payroll for non-profits and small businesses). She has over fourteen years of experience as a bookkeeper, including eleven years of business management in non-profits and arts management.
- By night, she moonlights as a blogger, artist, performer, and writer. (Yes, they are published, and no, she won’t tell you her pen name.)
- They are a company member with Six Elements Theatre in Minneapolis.
- She has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Shenandoah University.
- Regional acting work includes The Laramie Cycle with Uprising Theatre Company, Cynthia in “The Real Inspector Hound” and Chelsea in “On Golden Pond” (St. Croix Festival Theatre), several #MNFringe shows, appearing in the choir for “The Christians” (WSTC), as Ellie in Cardinal Theatricals acclaimed production of “The Wild Party” (Fitzgerald), and has performed in CLIMB’s Watershed Protection Squad, an environmental education outreach program for the City of Eagan.
- Jess has also performed professionally with; Sundog Theater Co., Snug Harbor Theater, Staten Island Shakespearean Theatre (SIST), Kill-Her Entertainment, and The Studio Theater in NYC, Signature Theatre and Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre in Virginia, and The Way-Off Broadway Theater in Maryland.

- As a visual artist and illustrator Jess’s main focus has been on illustration and graphic design for merchandise, including her line of ink-drawn characters, called the Grumpypants Gnomes, which she has been selling online since 2007.
